Rottnest Island is an Indian Ocean island off the coast of Western Australia, colloquially known as Rotto. With some of the best beached in the world and crystal clear bays, Rottnest is famous for snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and swimming.

Rottnest was originally discovered by The Dutch sailor. There are lots of animals look like big rats which called Quokka, the Chinese name is "Aozhou Duanwei Ai Daishu". Quokka is a small native marsupial, very soft and always has a "smile". Because of the similarity with giant rats, Rottnest was named as "Rat nest". This animal can only be found on Rottnest Island nowadays.
Rottnest is about 11 km long and 4.5 km wide. The most popular way to travel this island is cycling around the island or bus scenic tour. You can also walk along the Quokka pathway or choose the 10mins flight scenic tour to view the varietal bay and beautiful coral. Swimming and snorkelling is the best way to enjoy the Indian Ocean.
